At Hartland, we are dedicated to aligning with the UAE national priorities and the Dubai Strategic Plan for 2023. To meet these objectives, we are making it a requirement for our school to integrate UAE and Emirati education throughout our curriculum. This initiative, known as the UAE Education Programme, has a clear purpose: to provide our students with a well-rounded understanding of the history, the geography, and the civics of the UAE.

Our ultimate goal is to nurture responsible UAE citizens and residents. We will encourage our students to play an active role in creating a harmonious society that values inclusivity and respects the rights and values of all its members. We are committed to preserving the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of the UAE.

The Moral, Social and Cultural Studies curriculum aims to create an educational environment that prepares our students to be well-rounded individuals, equipped with a strong moral compass, a deep understanding of their culture and history, and the ability to navigate the complexities of our interconnected world.

This element of our curriculum goes beyond textbooks and lectures. It deepens students’ understanding of social, political, and economic systems. It also encourages them to explore movements in local and world history, fostering critical thinking and analysis. Furthermore, this curriculum empowers students to recognise the intricate relationships between humans and their natural environment. Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to develop in our students a profound appreciation for the importance of connecting past knowledge to present and future challenges.
